If we introduce precise location-based discovery, the application may request permission to access your device’s location. This permission should be requested when needed for the relevant feature, and you can manage it through your device settings.
We will not require precise location access merely to join the waitlist. If you decline location permission, you may still be able to browse or select a location manually.

We may collect information you submit through customer support, surveys, feedback forms, reviews, ratings, profiles or other interactive features.
Where Fleexi introduces public profiles or Tastemaker content, information you choose to publish may be visible to other users. We will explain the relevant visibility settings when those features become available.
3.7. Information from third parties
Where lawful and necessary, we may receive booking status from Partners, transaction status from payment providers, referral information from promotional partners and security information from fraud-prevention providers.

Recommendations should be relevant to the feature you are using and based on information collected for a lawful purpose.
Where profiling or automated decision-making is introduced, Fleexi will assess the applicable legal requirements and provide appropriate information, controls and safeguards.
We will not use this Policy as blanket permission for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects without the safeguards required by law.
7. Who We Share Information With
We do not sell personal information as a standalone data asset. We may share relevant information with the following categories of recipients where necessary and lawful.
7.1. Partners
We may share booking details with the Partner responsible for fulfilling a reservation. This may include your name, booking reference, guest numbers, contact information and other details necessary to provide the service.
We will seek to limit disclosure to what is reasonably necessary for the transaction.
7.2. Payment gateway and financial service providers
We share relevant transaction information with our payment gateway, banks and other authorised financial service providers to process payments, confirm transactions, administer refunds and investigate disputes or suspected fraud.
7.3. Technology and operational service providers
We may use third parties for hosting, storage, security, analytics, communications, customer support, application development and maintenance.
Where a provider processes information on our behalf, we will implement appropriate contractual, confidentiality and security safeguards as required by law.
7.4. Referral, affiliate and promotional partners
We may share limited information needed to attribute a referral, verify a qualifying transaction or administer a reward. We will not share private booking information with a Tastemaker merely because you viewed or followed their content.
7.5. Regulators, legal advisers and other lawful recipients
We may disclose information where required by law or valid legal process, or where reasonably necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, protect safety or investigate fraud, subject to applicable law.
7.6. Business transfers
If Funtodo undergoes a merger, acquisition, restructuring or transfer of relevant assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to applicable law and appropriate safeguards.
7.7. Aggregated information
We may use aggregated or appropriately de-identified information to evaluate usage patterns, improve products and understand marketplace performance. We will not describe information as anonymous if individuals can reasonably be identified from it.
8. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Fleexi’s website or applications may use cookies, software development kits, pixels and similar technologies.
These may be used to maintain sessions, secure accounts, remember preferences, measure performance, understand usage and support advertising or campaign measurement where enabled.
Technologies that are strictly necessary to provide a requested service may be used for that purpose. Non-essential analytics, advertising and tracking technologies will be managed in accordance with applicable consent requirements.
Where consent is required, users will be provided with an appropriate choice. Browser or device settings may also allow users to control certain technologies, although disabling essential technologies may affect functionality.
9. International Transfers
Fleexi may use hosting, payment, communications or other service providers located outside Nigeria. This may involve transferring personal information to another country.
Where an international transfer takes place, Fleexi will comply with the NDPA and applicable requirements for international data transfers, including any necessary adequacy assessment, safeguards or other lawful transfer mechanism.
Further information about relevant transfer arrangements and safeguards may be requested through the privacy contact.
10. Data Security
We will implement reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risks and nature of the information we process.
These may include access controls, secure authentication, encryption where appropriate, monitoring, staff confidentiality obligations and vendor security assessments.
No online service can guarantee absolute security. Users should protect their login credentials and report suspected unauthorised access promptly.
If a personal data breach occurs, Fleexi will investigate and take appropriate remedial action, including any notifications to the NDPC or affected individuals required by applicable law.
11. Data Retention
We will retain personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, subject to applicable legal, regulatory, accounting, security and dispute-resolution requirements.
Our retention schedule will address the following categories:
Waitlist information: Until the relevant pre-launch or communication purpose ends, consent is withdrawn where applicable, or retention is no longer justified.
Account information: While the account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter where necessary.
Booking and transaction records: For the period required to fulfil bookings, resolve disputes and comply with record-keeping obligations.
Marketing consent records: For as long as needed to administer consent and demonstrate compliance, including suppression records where appropriate.
Technical and security logs: For a defined period appropriate to security, troubleshooting and legal requirements.
Support correspondence: For the period needed to resolve the matter and maintain appropriate records.
We will establish specific retention periods before launch. When information is no longer required, we will take reasonable steps to delete it, anonymise it or securely dispose of it, unless a lawful retention requirement applies.
12. Your Data Protection Rights
Subject to applicable law and its conditions or exceptions, you may have the right to:
Be informed about the processing of your personal information.
Request access to your personal information.
Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
Request erasure where the legal conditions are satisfied.
Request restriction of processing in circumstances provided by law.
Object to certain processing, including direct marketing.
Withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
Request data portability where applicable.
Challenge certain automated decisions where the law provides that right.
Lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission or another competent authority.
These rights are subject to lawful conditions and exceptions. If we cannot fully comply with a request, we will explain the position to the extent required by law.
To make a request, contact support@fleexi.africa. We may need to verify your identity before acting on it. We will respond within the applicable legal timeframe.
13. Children’s Privacy
Fleexi is primarily intended for people aged 18 and above who can independently enter into the relevant agreement.
We do not knowingly allow ineligible children to create independent accounts or undertake transactions contrary to applicable law.
An adult may make a booking involving a child as a guest where the relevant Partner permits it. Any personal information about a child must be handled in accordance with applicable law and appropriate parental or guardian requirements.
If you believe a child has provided personal information inappropriately, contact us so we can investigate and take suitable action.
14. Public Content and Social Features
If Fleexi offers public profiles, reviews, Tastemaker recommendations or social sharing, information you choose to publish may be visible to other users and, depending on the feature, people outside Fleexi.
You should not publish private contact details, payment information or another person’s personal information without an appropriate basis.
You may request removal of your own content through available account controls or by contacting support. Some information may remain in backups or be retained where legally required. Content already shared by others may require separate action, subject to applicable law and our obligations.
15. Third-Party Services
Fleexi may link to third-party websites, social networks, Partner services and payment platforms. Those services may process information under their own privacy policies.
We do not control every aspect of a third party’s processing. We encourage you to review the relevant privacy notice before providing information directly to that party.
16. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the Platform, our processing activities, technology or legal obligations.
The updated version will be published with a revised “Last updated” date. Where required, we will provide notice of material changes or obtain consent before implementing processing that requires it.
